Leading with Care, Trust, and Intention
None of the work in this portfolio happened in isolation. One of the core beliefs that has shaped my leadership style is simple: none of us is as smart as all of us. The most meaningful progress I’ve seen comes from teams built on trust, honesty, and a shared commitment to growth. Creating that kind of environment has been one of the most important and rewarding parts of my role.
For me, leadership is not about being in charge. It’s about taking care of the people in your charge. That means caring genuinely about the people behind the work, creating space for honest conversations, and helping people succeed and realize their potential. I’ve learned that when people feel supported, challenged, and trusted, the work naturally rises with them.
Making It Happen
Building the team meant being intentional about connection, trust, and belonging, especially with a group spread across several states and time zones. While bringing the team together in person was important, it was part of a broader effort to help people feel seen, heard, and supported. It’s where we aligned on vision, celebrated wins, talked openly about challenges, and shared goals for where we wanted to grow together. Outside of formal work, we hosted regular, non-work weekly hangouts to create space for real conversations and relationships. These connections helped shape us into a team that genuinely cares for each other and enjoys working together.
I’m deeply grateful for the leaders and teammates who have poured into me over the years and modeled what strong, human leadership looks like. They’ve reinforced the importance of fighting for creativity, embracing transparency, and never becoming complacent.
